My Hogfish 32 has sailed between Maine and the Virgin Islands, and has shown itself to be safe and comfortable in just about all conditions. Matt Leyden's tiny Paradox is basically a survival pod, but it does manage to make 4kt to windward in reasonable conditions. So, it all depends by what people mean by "blue water" but if your definition is "able to sail out on the ocean safely and comfortably" then the answer is mostly a "yes".Dmitry Orlovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00381674543530177679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7334230772332433270.post-44003000250691287052015-03-04T17:20:46.615-06:002015-03-04T17:20:46.615-06:00Do you have a link establishing how good they are ...Do you have a link establishing how good they are blue water? The hull shape has more of a TRILOBOAT influence, though, although when you are dealing with hull shapes that simple a box is a box is a box.Dmitry Orlovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00381674543530177679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7334230772332433270.post-56306895200351892252015-01-24T03:49:00.917-06:002015-01-24T03:49:00.917-06:00There's quite a few of these flat bottomed boa...There's quite a few of these flat bottomed boats still around in the UK: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thames_sailing_barge I notice that Ceres has the same rig.Bayardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15211150959757982948noreply@blogger.com
